From homeowner upgrades and multifamily housing to tax-exempt organizations and design professionals, these workshops will provide practical guidance on low-cost financing, incentives, key technologies, and local resources. Participants will gain real-world insights through case studies and expert-led discussions tailored to their sector. Holloman Center for Justice - Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio
Wednesday, Apr 8 from 6 pm to 7:30 pm
The purpose of this workshop is to inform homeowners about grants, rebates, low-cost financing and other actions they can take in their home to reduce their energy bills.
The City of Cincinnati's Office of Environment and Sustainability and Donovan Energy are hosting a workshop funded by the Municipal Investment Fund to educate homeowners on energy efficient upgrades. Electricity bills are going up; the content of this workshop will highlight local resources, DIY solutions, and how to get started.
You'll hear about programs from LISC, The Port, People Working Cooperatively, the City of Cincinnati, Hamilton County, the State of Ohio and Duke Energy, among others.

Multi-family housing owners, developers and property managers will hear the latest in grants, tax incentives, financing and design strategies that reduce energy costs for owners and occupants.

While the incentives for many clean energy technologies were reduced in 2025, tax credits for geothermal and ground-source heat pump technologies remain in place through 2032 and beyond. Join staff from CMTA and Geosyntec as they review their technical and market analysis of geo-exchange districts and ground-source heat pump technologies across the City of Cincinnati, and highlight implementation strategies and case studies.

Join the City of Cincinnati Office of Environment & Sustainability, Bricker Graydon Wyatt, and Kimley Horn for an engaging and informative workshop focused on Ohio’s House Bill 15 and what it means for the future of energy across the state. This session will provide a deeper look at how legislation could shape local clean energy plans, including removing barriers to self-generation, Mercantile Customer Self-Power Systems, and the School Energy Performance Contracting Loan Fund.
Participants will hear from legal and industry experts as they break down key provisions of House Bill 15, discuss its potential economic and environmental implications, and explore how policy changes may influence energy costs, renewable energy adoption, and long-term planning strategies. Energy costs are on the rise and residents are concerned – rightly so! Join UC’s Center for Public Engagement with Science and OES for an interactive session to learn what’s going on with energy prices and what you can do about it. Experts from Duke Energy, the City, Law, and Social Services will serve as panelists and then we'll move into interactive tabling sessions where you’ll walk away with steps you as an individual can take to save.
