Upcoming Energy Workshops and Forum

Sep 23, 2024

The City of Cincinnati’s Office of Environment and Sustainability is co-hosting energy-related events over the next two months, including the Clean Energy Funding Opportunities Webinar Series and the Electrify Cincy Educational Forum.

Clean Energy Funding Opportunities

Have you ever wanted to generate clean energy on your property?

The time is now to take advantage of new funding opportunities for clean energy projects! Recent commitments by the federal and state government and private contributors have opened funding channels for public, private, and non-profit entities to implement clean energy projects on their properties. These funding sources include tax credits, direct payments, competitive grants, and low-interest loans that can be used for clean energy upgrades on commercial, public, or multi-family properties.

Although there are great funding opportunities to take advantage of, many who want clean energy upgrades may hesitate to apply because of the volume and complexity of funding sources. To alleviate your concerns and help you understand your options, Nikki Vandivort, an energy policy expert in the Office of Environment and Sustainability, the Greater Cincinnati 2030 District, and Green Umbrella are collaborating to host a series of free, online workshops.

If you are interested in clean energy projects for a property you own or manage, learn about the funding options you qualify for at the following workshops:

  • Thursday, September 26, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
  • Thursday, October 17, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
  • Thursday, November 14, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

Attendance at all workshops is not mandatory, each workshop will include similar information.
