Make something beautiful for the holidays. Join our professional florist for a lesson in floral design. You'll create a fragrant, rustic styled centerpiece of assorted evergreens, pinecones, cinnamon sticks, bows, topped off with a mason jar and candle. Materials and instruction are provided but the creative touches are all yours. Feel free to bring personal embellishments to accent it for your home. This class is appropriate for adults and children ages 10 and over accompanied by an adult
Live off the land and learn to make your own maple syrup this winter. Join in on the fun as we teach the tricks of the trade for making maple syrup at home. Discover what trees to tap, how to collect and cook the sap into syrup. Most of the program is held outdoors. We will have one group geared towards adults with more technical information and one group geared towards families. Tree-tapping spouts are available for sale during the program. Meet at the Nature Center. This program is FREE but space is limited.
Time slots start every 15 minutes at 10:00 am and the last time slot at 1:00 PM. The program lasts approximately 1 and a half hours. It’s Maple Sugarin’ Time at Caldwell Nature Preserve! Come join us as we tap our own trees in our sugar bush. Visitors will take a journey back in time discovering the magic of maple sugaring and taste this natural sugary delight!
