About
On behalf of everyone at Cincinnati Parks, we extend our sincere thanks for everything our park users, volunteers, leaders, and friends have contributed to us over the past year. We cannot adequately care for our parks and programs without your help. We remain grateful for your continued support and advocacy of our award-winning park system.
Cincinnati Parks 5,000 acres consists of 8 regional parks, 70 neighborhood parks, 34 preserves and natural areas, 5 parkways, 65 miles of hiking trails, 80,000 street trees on 1,000 miles of City streets, 6 nature centers, 18 scenic overlooks, 52 playgrounds, 500 landscaped gardens, and over 100 picnic areas. With all of this to care for, there are constant needs of all shapes and sizes. Whether it be a bad sidewalk, an aging playground, a leaky roof, or a park that needs a complete facelift, there’s plenty to do to keep our parks looking great and ready to serve our residents and users.
The Board of Park Commissioners, appointed by the Cincinnati Mayor, has the control and management of the parks and parkways of the city. The day-to-day operations are under the management of the Park Director who works with the leadership team.
The mission of the Cincinnati Park Board is “to conserve, manage, sustain, and enhance parks’ natural and cultural resources and public greenspace for the enjoyment, enlightenment and enrichment of the Cincinnati community."
