What Happens if You Receive A Graffiti Notice of Violation
- A Notice of Violation will be issued to the owner or person(s) in control.
- Within 30 days of the date of receipt of the notice, the owner or person in control must either:
- 1) remove the graffiti or
- 2) appeal the notice of violation by submitting a petition for written determination.

- If after 30 business days and upon reinspection, you have not removed the graffiti or filed the petition for written determination of violation, the property shall thereafter be deemed a nuisance property and a referral is sent to the Abatement Program (to be painted/removed by a city contractor).
- The total cost for the abatement services provided by the City will be invoiced to the property owner and if not paid in a timely manner may be assigned to collections or an assessment in the form of a tax lien against the property.
