Electronic Plan Submission
The Department of Buildings & Inspections (B&I) is excited to introduce Electronic Plan Submission. Electronic Plan Submission enables plan submittal to occur electronically for simultaneous review/approval, payment, and reducing (and potentially eliminating) trips and wait time. The program is easy to use. You can start applying for a permit and submitting plans by using the link below.
Due to COVID-19, we are requesting all customers submit their plans digitally using the electronic submission guidelines.
Electronic Document Submission Guidelines
Note: You will be required to submit two (2) sets of hard copies of plans (properly stamped by a registered architect or engineer) at the time of permit issuance.

You can apply and pay for certain permits and licenses online via ezTrak.
Currently-available licenses and permits are:

- Plumbing Repair Permits
- Journeyman Renewal Licenses

We request you submit your plans electronically, following the above protocol. If you need to apply in person, please visit us at:

7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Monday through Friday.
- We have installed protective barriers in the lobby and at all workstations to increase safety.
You must submit:
- Completed application and supporting documentation (structural, energy, soils analysis)
- Four (4) sets of documents, drawings, and specifications of the proposed work (where applicable).
All permit applications will be assessed a one-time non-refundable fee, which is due when you submit your application. (This fee does not apply to Elevator, Plumbing and HVAC repair/replacement applications that don't require plans).
