The streetcar shares city streets with all kinds of other vehicles and activities - from cars and buses, bicycles and pedestrians, even construction crews working in the right-of-way.
Whether you're riding a bike near the streetcar or working near the overhead wires, here are a few tips for how you can Be Streetcar Safe:
- Look and listen... don't cross in front of a moving streetcar
- Step over tracks; walk your bike or cross at a right angle
- Don't walk, run or play along the streetcar tracks
- Stay clear of the poles, overhead high-voltage electric wires, and power stations
- Park within white painted lines along track area and look before opening your door
