The City of Cincinnati and the Office of Environment and Sustainability (OES) are excited to bring new public recycling cans to Mt. Washington business district! New blue corner recycling cans have been installed throughout the business district, making it easier for residents and visitors to recycle bottles, cans, and cups while on the go. This project builds on the success of Cincinnati’s first public recycling program downtown, which helped cut down on litter and made recycling more convenient in busy public areas. Expanding into Mt. Washington is another step toward the goals of the Green Cincinnati Plan, including reducing waste, promoting sustainability, and keeping our neighborhoods clean and vibrant.

OES will continue to look for more opportunities to expand public recycling across the city. Together, small steps like this make a big difference in creating a greener Cincinnati.
