Nasal sounds in the grass, then a flappy shape zooms up, whistles across the sky and plummets to the ground! This is your chance to see and hear the strange twilight courtship of the secretive timberdoodles (AKA woodcocks) as they pause here on their way north. Explore what it’s like to be a worm-eating, wall-eyed daredevil with some activities and background info. Then after sunset we’ll walk up to the woodcock field, enjoy the full-moon twilight, and wait quietly until the action starts.
