GCWW Goes Green!!
In the Spring of 2009, GCWW installed the first phase of a solar power project on the roof of it's Chester Park Complex located on Spring Grove Avenue. Phase One is a 40 Kw solar system that helps power the plant and reduce energy costs. It is the largest solar project in Hamilton County.
Phase 2 of the project is to install solar panels on the roof of its new UV facility that is to begin construction in 2010. The goal of the solar panels is to offset the facility’s energy use by as much as 50%. When both phases of the solar project are finished, it could be the largest such project in Ohio between here and Akron.
