Many larger condominiums and apartment buildings do not qualify for the City of Cincinnati’s curbside recycling services* However, these multi-family dwelling However these multi-family dwellings can receive FREE assistance from Hamilton County Solid Waste Management District to start a private recycling program. The District works with your waste hauler to coordinate the easiest and most efficient recycling plan for your property and pays for the first year of the recycling contract if you agree to pay for the next two years.

- Education about recycling for residents

In most cases, the complex can add recycling services and reduce waste hauling services so the new program is cost neutral. In other words, you can add recycling for no more than your current waste hauling fees.

*A residential building can place 5 or less garbage cans at the curb for free trash collection. Complexes that exceed this limit, necessitating private dumpster service do not qualify for the free curbside recycling program.
