Members of Ladder 19 received awards for Ladder Company 19. Lieutenant Dean Molitor, FAO Kory McDonald (award accepted for Kory by FAO Thomas Teufel), FF Tedd Schaffer, and FF Andy Kneflin responded to an extra alarm fire on 7/29/09 at 510 Riddle Rd. They laddered the building from the rear and rescued two civilians trapped on the third floor above the fire floor with their exit cut off by the fire. The fast thinking of these members and the placement of the ladder truck facilitated the safe and rapid rescue of these two civilians.

Everyone on the scene performing in an outstanding manner strongly contributed to the safe rescue. Without this joint effort and coordination the rescue might not have been possible. Thanks to all that responded and performed flawlessly.
