2008 Artist Grants Announced!

CITY OF CINCINNATI ANNOUNCES GRANTS TO ARTISTS!

Cincinnati – Seven Cincinnati artists will receive grants from the City of Cincinnati’s 2008 Individual Artist Grant Program. The grants will help support the work of aerial dance artist Holly Price, treble viola da gamba instrumentalist Annalisa Pappano, and visual artists Kimberly Flora, Julie Lonneman, Casey Riordan Millard, Mary Provosty and Ursula Roma. Each funded project will include one or more public presentations of work. Individual grant amounts range from $1,000 to $6,000. The awards total $35,000.

The City of Cincinnati has operated grant programs for Cincinnati-based artists and arts and cultural organizations of all sizes since 1989. The City of Cincinnati is the only local government in the Tri-State that operates arts grant programs. It is the primary local funder of Cincinnati artists.

The City’s arts grant programs are administered by the Department of Community Development with assistance from the Cincinnati Arts Allocation Committee (CAAC), a City advisory body. Members of the CAAC are Andy Marko (Chairperson), Jeaunita Olowe (Vice Chairperson), Kristen Dietsche, Bert Goldstein, Kate Kern, Glenn Ray, Sean Rhiney, Manuel Susarret, and Lissa Urriquia.

For additional information, refer to the attached list of grant recipients or call Carolyn Gutjahr, Senior Development Officer at (513) 352-4985.
